"Caring Action Train" has long been promoted by National Immigration Agency of the Ministry of the Interior. Amy (冉庭恩), a new British immigrant, received the Plum Blossom Card (alien permanent residency permits) a few days ago when Interior Minister, Lin Yu-chang and Director (鐘景琨) of NIA visited the "Britishake" (英國奶奶) restaurant in Tamsui District, New Taipei City. This means that Amy no longer needs to visit NIA to submit an application for the extension of the residence permit every three years.

Amy (冉庭恩) has been married to Taiwan for 14 years. She started a typical British restaurant in Tamsui in 2012 and established a personal YouTube channel in addition to working as a restaurant's chef to aggressively promote food and cultural exchanges between Taiwan and the UK as well as to introduce British audiences to Taiwanese cuisine and culture.
The weather is beautiful and the people are polite, Amy remarked, and Taiwan's welfare and health insurance systems are particularly excellent. She has developed a strong attachment for this country and is thrilled to be able to obtain the Plum Blossom Card.

Foreign nationals who have lived in Taiwan for an "average" of 183 days per year over the previous five years are exempt from having to visit NIA's service station every three years to apply for a residence permit extension, according to Interior Minister Lin Yu-chang. In order to foster a welcoming international living environment in Taiwan, the Legislative Yuan has also recently amended the provisions to loosen the restrictions on foreigners' residence and permanent residence, streamline the residence application process, and relax the residence regulations for foreign talents, their spouses, and children.
