According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, we must continue telling stories so that we won't forget, so that we won't feel helpless, and so that we will never lose hope.
In a summary, this was the message National Artist for Film Nora Aunor intended to get across to her devoted fans and other industry professionals during the two-hour tribute performance at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Aunor added in her "thank you" speech, "Rest assured that I will continue to promote Filipino movies and people we can learn lessons from, and those that tell our true narratives.

"I've been battling a sickness for the past three days. I was unable to attend the event at Malacaang for the same reason. Now, I feel much better. I appreciate the messages, she continued.
"Since I first tried my luck in music and acting decades ago, I will continue to provide you the life and work of Nora Aunor that you so adore."
"This life has not always been simple. Aunor praised the educators, critics, and moviegoers of Filipino cinema, as well as her fellow Bicolanos.
"For not letting go," and continued, "Despite the difficulties and controversies, you continue to love and support me, as well as the art that is my gift to you."
