The Vice President Lai Ching-te (賴清德) invited the Director of American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) - Sandra Oudkirk (孫曉雅), the representative of the Taipei Office, Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association - Hiroyasu Izumi (泉裕泰) and his wife, and representatives from the United States, Japan, Australia, Britain, and India in Taiwan, and their wives to experience the special leisure activity in Taiwan - Shrimp Fishing.
It is hoped that through this activity, representatives from various countries will be able to understand Taiwan’s local cultures more. At the same time, the activity also shows our gratitude for vaccine donations from Japan and the United States.

After Vice President Lai gave an address to welcome all representatives and their wives. Everyone experienced the fun of shrimp fishing together after the owner of zhishan Shrimp Fishing Farm (至善釣蝦場), Lin Cong Ming (林聰明), gave instructions on how to fish. The whole activity had enjoyable vibes.
At the end of the event, Vice President Lai also awarded the "Golden Rod Award" to the Indian representative in Taiwan, Gourangalal Das (戴國瀾), who got the most number of shrimps. The whole group had a meal of grilled shrimps together afterward.
