In response to the new coronavirus variant Omicron, New Taipei City has been promoting vaccinations services via contracted clinics & medical institutions, as well as launched the mobile service unit to reduce the risk of community transmission.
From now until January 20, the public can get vaccinated with Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at the Global Mall Zhonghe Store (中和環球購物中心) without appointment required. The daily limit is 600 people.

Hou You Yi (侯友宜), the New Taipei Mayor, stated that although the vaccination rate in Taiwan has reached 80%, the arrival of COVID-19 variant Omicron has led to a sudden surge in Covid-19 cases. He appeals to the public aged 18 or older and have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine for 12 weeks to get a booster dose as soon as possible.
There were 1.28 million people in New Taipei City who were eligible to receive the third dose of the vaccine before the Chinese New Year. New Taipei City has carefully planned multiple channels to facilitate the completion of the vaccination.

The “COVID-19 vaccination registration platform” is open now. Besides making an appointment on the platform, the residents of New Taipei City aged above 65 years old can also get vaccinated with assistance from District Office between January 17 and January 28.
Those who have successfully made an appointment are reminded to confirm the location, bring the health insurance card, and the Vaccination Record (yellow card) according to the appointment time to avoid crowds. Please wear a mask and maintain social distancing throughout the vaccination process.
