CJ Trinidad, an artist Bulakan, Bulacan, shows through his masterpiece the importance of communication among nations amid the novel coronavirus outbreak around the world.

He calls his painting “Maskcommunication” and stated he just wanted to portray how communication plays a vital role among the nations in facing the coronavirus outbreak. This painting has gained wide attention with more than 7,000 reactions and 6,000 shares, though he said he didn't expect that his artwork would go viral on social media.
He said that it took almost two weeks to finish the artwork since he is working during the day time. He is also a member of an art group, Bahaghari ng Malolos. “Almost 2 weeks po siguro ko ginawa. Kasi pumapasok po ako kaya tuwing gabi nalang po ako nakakapag pinta,” he said.
Trinida added, "Di ko nalang po nailagay lahat ng bansa. Di rin po kasi kakasya. Parang message narin po sa iba’t ibang bansa hindi lang sa mga tinamaan ng virus (I didn't even unify the whole country. It's also not good. It seems like a message to many countries, not just to those infected with the virus)"
“Nagulat po ako di ko naman po talaga inaasahan na magiging viral yung artwork ko ng, ‘Maskcommunication’ tapos nagulat na din ako yung ibang page ginawa na rin nilang memes, ("I'm surprised because I didn't really expect my artwork to go viral. I was surprised by other pages that they even made memes," he added.
Appreciating this painting from another angle, some people think it not only shows the whole world has been threatened by the virus but also illustrates out that all global citizens are responsible for protecting the world and themselves. No one is excluded.
“Sa kabila ng ating pagkakaiba-iba, ang pagkakaisa at pagkakaunawaan po ang pinakaimportanteng bagay sa panahon ngayon, (despite our diversity, unity and understanding are the most important things today)”, Trinidad tells CNN Philippines.
