To promote international ethnic integration and multicultural inheritance and innovation, the K-12 Education Administration, Ministry of Education invites students from all schools to take part in the "National Multilingual and Multicultural Picture Book Parent-Child Reading Experience Selection Activity." This activity's focus is multicultural picture books or books that are like them. All students in public and private kindergartens, elementary schools, and junior high schools in the nation are welcome to participate. The submission groups are further divided into five categories: kindergarten, elementary school lower grade, elementary school middle grade, elementary school senior, and junior high school.
According to the K-12 Education Administration, the activity has been planned for nine years. It aspires to greater tolerance for individuals and cultures from different nations, increased regard for new immigrants, and the creation of a more diverse society via peaceful cohabitation.
