To provide services that are more convenient to new immigrants, the New Taipei City National Immigration Agency (NIA) will launch the “mobile service unit (行動服務列車)” from 10:00 to 14:00 on January 18.
This time, the “mobile service unit” is travelling to Sanchong New Immigrants Family Service Center (三重新住民家庭服務中心) to provide services for new immigrants and their relatives & friends in New Taipei City. Services include receiving applications & giving consultations for new immigrants and their families. At the same time, the Laws & Regulations are also promoted.
The “mobile service unit” holds activities once a month to offer services to new immigrants in Taiwan. In December, the “mobile service unit” of New Taipei City traveled went to Shenkeng (深坑) and held an event to promote multiculturalism there. The “mobile service unit” of New Taipei City has served many new immigrants and solved their problems regarding residence status, adaptation to life, communication & interaction with the local community.
In the past, a new immigrant from Vietnam left Taiwan with her child after divorcing her husband. However, she needs to apply for a visa to Taiwan because of the child's education. After learning about the situation, NIA took the initiative to assist the new immigrant so that she and her child could live in Taiwan with peace of mind.
