New immigrant from Vietnam makes “Vietnamese Coffee Jelly” and desserts to heal the mind and body during epidemic prevention at home

Affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, all physical classes at the New Immigrant Family Service Center were suspended. The Banqiao New Immigrant Family Service Center in New Taipei City (新北市板橋新住民家庭服務中心) invited Vietnamese new immigrant interpreter Li Chin Kang (黎金剛) to the "Epidemic Prevention Cooking Classroom" (防疫烹飪小教室) unit to teach the public how to make "Vietnamese coffee jelly", so that new immigrants of Taiwan can relieve their homesickness by making hometown delicacies, and to let the people of Taiwan better understand foreign cuisine.

Li Chin Kang is from Thanh Pho Can Tho City, Vietnam (越南芹苴市). She teaches how to prepare many Vietnamese dishes online and this time she teaches the public how to make "Vietnamese coffee jelly". First fill the aluminum device for making Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk and after the coffee finishes dripping, jelly is added, then the rich and fragrant coffee jelly is done.

Li Chin Kang also said that this coffee jelly is also a common daily Vietnamese dessert, especially in the countryside of South Vietnam. When they celebrate festivals or offer sacrifices, they will prepare this post-dinner dessert for guests to eat.
