According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Taiwan's representative to Poland signed an assistance and rebuilding agreement with Bucha Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk on behalf of the government to help the war-affected Ukrainians. Taiwan will provide US$600,000 to the construction of air defense shelters and the rehabilitation of children's sports facilities damaged by airstrikes, assisting the Ukrainian people in overcoming their challenges.
Taiwan’s representative to Poland emphasized how this initiative may benefit Bucha and ease the strain brought on by Russian aggression. Taiwan also voiced concern for the situation in Ukraine and pledged to keep working with other democratic nations to support Ukraine's rehabilitation.

The mayor of Bucha, Anatolii Fedoruk, is also extremely appreciative of Taiwan's support and assistance, saying that even though Taiwan and Ukraine are geographically separated by great distances, the concepts of democracy and freedom bind them together, and they must overcome challenges together. With Taiwan's help, more Bucha residents' lives and children's future growth can be assured.
