During the 9-day Chinese New Year holiday, the 1955 Hotline for labor counseling and complaints is still open for employers and migrant workers seeking assistance. The Ministry of Labor (MOL, 勞動部) cares about every migrant worker residing in Taiwan, therefore the 24-hour 1955 Hotline service will still be provided in different languages including Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, English, and Mandarin during the vacation.

During the Chinese New Year period, employers, migrant workers, and agents often have inquiries about labors’ rights and interests. Hence, the 1955 Hotline will be available during the holiday for any consultation, appeal, as well as interpretation services.
In addition, employers and migrant workers can check the progress of the complaint case on the Workforce Development Agency – Transnational Labor Rights Protection Portal.

The Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor reminds employers and agencies to inform migrant workers that if any urgent issues are happening during the Chinese New Year, they can dial the 24-hour 1955 Hotline for help.
