British visitors to Taiwan from January to June this year reached nearly 70% before the pandemic, according to data from the Tourism Bureau, MOTC. To encourage more British visitors to Taiwan, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau London Office has begun running advertising featuring Taiwan at several London bus stops and double-decker sightseeing buses.

From August 14 to August 27, 35 bus stations in London featured Taiwanese image advertising with the themes of cuisine, indigenous culture, and railways. Four double-decker sightseeing buses will also begin to carry this advertising using Taiwanese images on August 14 and will do so for a month. The Tower of London, Houses of Parliament, and 16 other well-known London sights, such as Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, Portobello Market, and Downing Street, will all be included in their daily schedule, which runs from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm.

According to the London office of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Europe's top source of visitors to Taiwan is the United Kingdom. In the previous ten years, 25% to 27% of all European visitors to Taiwan were from UK. Both "business" and "tourism" are reasons to visit Taiwan. As a result, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau London Office will keep attracting British travelers to Taiwan by taking part in travel expos, manning booths at events, bringing media and business representatives to Taiwan, and publishing news articles.
