Taiwan FDA reminds the public to follow pandemic prevention measures and use rapid test kit if it is necessary

As the COVID-19 Omicron variant is spreading within the community, Taiwan Food and Drug Administration reminds the public to follow pandemic prevention measures and pay attention to their health all the time.

If necessary, individuals can go to convenience stores, drug stores or pharmacies to purchase the COVID-19 Rapid test kit and follow the "Guidelines for the Use of COVID-19 Home Rapid test kit" and product instructions to use the product correctly.

While purchasing, please confirm whether the product name indicates it is for individual use, whether the package shows approval by the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration, whether the product has expired. Please follow the instruction manual or process video for carrying out a test.

For any inquiries, please contact the shops where the products are purchased or the manufacturing companies.

If the result of the rapid test during home isolation or home quarantine is positive, please contact the local health bureau immediately, or dial 1922 and follow the instructions.

For people not serving home isolation or home quarantine who have tested positive, please wear a mask, and do not take public transportation.

Visit a nearby community testing institute for further testing as soon as possible and put the used testing equipment in a plastic bag and seal the package. The staff of the institute will collect the bag.
