The Ministry of the Interior recently held a review meeting for naturalized senior professionals and approved six senior professionals in the fields of semiconductor R&D and manufacturing, piano performance, physics, and film research with naturalization. Since December 21st, 2016, when the "Nationality Law" was amended and implemented, a total of 232 foreign high-level professionals who have devoted themselves to Taiwan for a long time, love and recognize the land, have been naturalized in the country without losing their original nationality.
According to MOL, Mr. Chen, an American who passed the evaluation, has a background in memory circuit technology and semiconductor component development. He has more than 12 years of experience working in an American semiconductor manufacturer. In addition to having more than 30 international patents, he has more than 30 conference articles. In order to advance logic and memory heterogeneous integration technology, which will support the growth of my country's semiconductor and associated industries, he formed businesses in the US and Taiwan in 2011.
Additionally, Russian composer and pianist Mr. Ke is a significant figure in current Russian music. He won numerous prestigious competitions and prizes as champion. He has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and is mentioned in the authoritative The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians. He has been invited to teach in Taiwan since 2003, and he has helped a lot of students win prizes both domestically and overseas. He has significantly improved music education in my nation.
The Ministry of the Interior emphasized that after naturalization, high-level professionals will have the right to participate in the policy and right to participate and enjoy various social welfare guarantees. In order to assist international high-level professionals to understand relevant information, Department of Household Registration, M.O.L has set up a zone for high-level professionals to apply for naturalization (in Chinese and English). Foreign high-level professionals are welcome to apply for naturalization and become a genuine Taiwanese.
