New languages are added to the user interface of the Chunghwa Post ATM

To build a more friendly environment for ATM users, Chunghwa Post announced that it will add four more languages – Japanese, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Thai to more than 3,190 ATMs across Taiwan. The services with added languages include ATM deposit, withdrawal, transfer, payment, balance inquiry, etc.

Chunghwa Post stated that since 1978, Taiwan has begun hiring migrant workers. Besides, the statistics of The Ministry of Labor show that the number of migrant workers in Taiwan has reached 670,000 by the end of 2021. Among them, there are 237,000 Indonesians (about 35%), 234,000 Vietnamese (about 35%), and 57,000 Thai (about 8.5%).  

In addition, the number of Japanese residing in Taiwan exceeded 15,000 according to the National Immigration Agency. Therefore, the added languages show Chunghwa Post’s efforts to build a carefree environment that meets the needs of different users.  

Currently, the user interface of the ATM is in Chinese, English, Japanese, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, etc., supporting more than 80% of foreign nationals living in Taiwan.
