The three Gambian YouTubers (黑龍、嘉明、黑牛) frequently post about their travels to various locations in Taiwan as well as intriguing things they come across in their daily lives on YouTube Channel (臺灣尋奇). The three visited Taiwan's traditional market to buy Chungyuan Pu Tu offerings for the upcoming Ghost Festival in this episode of “New Immigrants in Taiwan”.

The three new Gambian immigrants, who have been in Taiwan for a while, speak Taiwanese fluently and follow Taiwanese customs. In accordance with the list created by their Taiwanese friends, they proceeded to the traditional market to make their purchases, but they were still unsure of what was on the list. What does the phrase "three animals, four fruits, and six fasts" actually mean? The three of them inquired with the sellers along the route and, incidentally, discovered the Chungyuan Pu Tu worship tradition in Taiwan.

The warmhearted vendor informed them that the supposedly "three animals, four fruits, and six fasts" really allude to the meat, fruit, and vegetarian foods that are frequently used as offerings in Chinese sacrifices. The three also purchased four different types of fruit, six vegetarian meal, pork, chicken, and fish.

Following the purchase of all the offers, they went to the nearby temple and asked Mr. Guo, who is in charge of hosting Chungyuan Pu Tu there, to explain the significance of each offering and what should be taken into consideration while placing it.

With the passage of time, people nowadays not only buy traditional sacrifice foods, but they also create everyday snacks and beverages for Chungyuan Pu Tu offerings.
