The "Dream Building Program for New Immigrants and Their Children," organized by the National Immigration Agency, has entered its 10th year. Since its inception, the program has been dedicated to helping new immigrants and their children realize their dreams. Participants have shown incredible passion and perseverance on their journeys, and their achievements and joy have inspired countless others. We will introduce the outstanding award winners from this year’s "Social Welfare Service Group" to see how these new residents have found a sense of belonging in Taiwan and how they are giving back to the community, creating a cycle of kindness.

"Secrets to a Better Life—Organizing Home, Mind, and Life" – Fang Li, Liao Rui-xiang, & Liao Yi-zhen
Fang Li has worked in home cleaning in Taiwan for 15 years and has earned dual certifications in organization from both Taiwan and Japan. She has gained extensive experience, observing that many clients have excessive items cluttering their homes, affecting both their living environment and health. She decided to compile her years of knowledge in organization and decluttering and hopes to share it to help more people.

Through lectures, she promotes the concept of decluttering, teaching organizational principles, and has designed content specifically for the Dream Building Program. Her lectures have attracted many participants, and their enthusiastic engagement has boosted her confidence in promoting organizing skills. She hopes to continue spreading these valuable skills to help even more people in the future.Fang Li shares in a community lecture (Photo sourced from National Immigration Agency NIA Facebook)

"Voices from the Heart—The Bond of 'Love' and the Art of 'Cutting' Compassion" – Li Hongran, Chen Li-cheng, Fan Hongyan, Chen Yingda, & Zheng Xiu-gui
Li Hongran, originally from Vietnam, enrolled in a vocational school after moving to Taiwan and participated in professional hairdressing training, ultimately obtaining Class C and Class B certifications. As her skills improved, she wanted to use her expertise to give back to society. She joined the Dream Building Program with her friends Fan Hongyan and Zheng Xiu-gui to initiate a charitable haircut campaign. With her family’s support, her husband Chen Yingda and son Chen Li-cheng also joined the team, each contributing their part. The team has expressed their intention to expand to more communities in the future, demonstrating their commitment and dedication to social care.
