Jiangsu Province, mainland China is the home of President Tsai, Zhan-Ping (蔡占萍). She has a son and has been married to Taiwan for 20 years. Tsai has faced numerous challenges and difficulties along the path of care and companionship because her son was discovered to have a serious hearing impairment after birth. Chairman Tsai stated that in addition to her own tenacity and responsibility, she also had a lot of support along the way which moved her greatly by the warmth and simplicity of Taiwanese people, and as a result, she is no longer perplexed about how to care for children who have hearing loss. Patients receive very thorough education and pertinent medical care, enabling them to approach problems from a different perspective.
After learning about Tsai, Zhan-Ping’s story, National Immigration Agency provided her with information about “Dream-Building Project for New Immigrants” to encouraged her to carry forward the love of taking care of her son. Mr. Gu Jin-Song(古錦松) of National Sun Yet-sen University and his student team assisted in writing the plan. The public is anticipated to gain better information and understanding of hearing impairment through the combining of medical resources, lectures on the subject, and Tsai. Zhan-Ping can also share the assistance she received in Taiwan.
