The "2023 Multicultural Forum" was hosted by the Taoyuan City Government on August 10. Along with Mayor Chang San-cheng (張善政) of Taoyuan, Mayor Darren Power of Logan, Queensland, Australia, Mayor Koizumi Kazunari of Narita City, Japan, and Aznifah, the Representatives from Malaysia, they were all invited to attend and give briefings, share their experiences promoting multiculturalism and ethnic integration in various nations, and learn from other people's experiences abroad.

Taoyuan, where the Taoyuan International Airport is located, is a significant country gateway, which draws many foreigners to relocate, according to Mayor Chang San-cheng (張善政) of Taoyuan. Additionally, the largest industrial city in Taiwan has grown to be Taoyuan in recent years with roughly 65,000 new immigrants. There may be up to 130,000 migrant workers from nations including Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and others in response to job possibilities and labor demand. Taoyuan's multicultural growth has also been facilitated by people coexisting peacefully in the city.

Mayor Chang San-cheng (張善政) of Taoyuan also emphasized the Taoyuan City Government's execution of various programs to promote new immigrants' participation in cultural events, integrate diverse ethnicities into local life, and enhance the region's multiculturalism.
