The Thai government declared on the first of this month that visitors from Taiwan and India will be able to enter the country without a visa starting on November 10, 2024, and ending on May 10, 2024. Thailand's visa exemption helped boost sales of relevant tourist items at the ITF Taipei International Travel Fair, which took place from November 3 to November 6. Local media sources state that Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin declared a few days ago that India and Taiwan will be able to enter the country without a visa following the cabinet meeting. The Prime Minister's Office of Thailand spokeswoman Chai Wacharonke later reaffirmed that visitors from Taiwan and India are permitted entry into Thailand without a visa and a 30-day stay. November 10, 2023, to May 10, 2024, is when the visa exemption is in effect.

Thailand aims to bring in a total of 28 million visitors this year. In all, 22 million visitors have come through the nation as of October 29 of this year, bringing in 927.5 billion baht (about NT$833.2 billion).

The coming of the busiest travel season at the end of the year is anticipated to draw more visitors now that the Thai government has declared that Taiwan and India are free from the need for a visa.
