In this episode of the "New Immigrants in Taiwan" column, French YouTuber Francois (馮韋元) and Swedish YouTuber Jonas went to dive in Taiwan's deepest swimming pool in Taichung. Additionally, this is Francois's deepest dive to date.

Francois (馮韋元) had his first electric YouBike experience in Taichung before meeting this episode's guest, Jonas. He believes that the electric YouBike is really comfortable to ride, especially in the heat. Riding an electric bicycle is a wonderful option if you want to exercise but don't want to perspire excessively.

Francois (馮韋元) remembered having a fantasy as a youngster of being able to fly through the air. He claimed that despite being unable to breathe underwater, free diving gives him the sensation of flying, which is why he enjoys it. Francois (馮韋元) thinks that the most unique feature of the swimming pool he visited this time is that those outside can watch people diving inside through the transparent glass, which is quite intriguing and makes him feel like a fish in an aquarium.

Francois (馮韋元) had only attempted the 15-meter swimming pool before to taking on Taiwan's 20-foot deepest swimming pool, so he was overjoyed to break his previous record. When you dive further in this pool, according to Jonas, the surroundings get darker and it actually seems like you're diving in the sea. Jonas concurs that this location is ideal for practicing free diving.
