To help migrant workers receive the latest official coronavirus updates, the Ministry of Labor (MOL) released a “Line@E-Line” service. It is to encourage migrant workers to use the Line App and follow the COVID-19 prevention measures in Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, and English.

Besides, the application will send personalized notifications such as their work rights to them. Individuals thus do not have to worry about forgetting the deadlines of termination of employment or being falsely reported as a missing worker by employers.

Besides the aforementioned features, individuals can have a live chat with customer service staff via text or can choose to be transferred to the 1955 special line in case of an emergency appeal.

Migrant workers can bind their personal data (Passport No., Residence No., Name, Date of Birth, and Mobile Phone No.) with “Line@E-Line” within a minute, and the system will actively send notifications 4 months, 14 days, and 7 days before the deadlines of termination of employment. Hence, migrant workers can plan ahead for relevant document renewal, switching for new employers, and applying for the extension of residence at the same time.
