According to INQUIRER.net | Philippine news for Filipinos , numerous competitions targeted at various demographics have emerged as a result of the rapidly increasing pageantry industry, including competitions for "Mrs.," which have shown exponential development in recent years.

In recent years, national contests to find the Philippines' representatives to these competitions have also sprung up with the number of international beauty pageants, married women and single mothers. Additionally, another pageant will enter the expanding industry the following year, promising modifications to the standard procedure followed by those already established.

The new national pageant will be addressed as “Mrs. Philippines,” and organizers promised that they will not collect registration fees from interested applicants, nor will they make the official candidates sell tickets, which has become commonplace in similar competitions targeting the same ethics.

Ricalde said that the national pageant would choose the nation's representatives for other international contests, with the top prize being "Mrs. Philippines Universe (Official)." There won't be a swimsuit contest. Regarding the new national pageant, Ricalde stated that advocacy would be the main focus. He said, "It's not too late to become a queen." Mother's Day, May 14, the following year, will see the 2023 Mrs. Philippines pageant.
