The "Multicultural Regional Revitalization Cultivation Camp for Children of New Immigrants" was organized by National Immigration Agency (NIA) to cultivate children of new immigrants. Keelung City hosted a 5-day Cultivation Camp for 42 children of new immigrants. The first day's Multicultural Special Meal Dinner was also attended by the Director-General Bill Chung (鐘景琨) of NIA.

42 new immigrant children were invited to take part in this multicultural training camp, according to the NIA Director-General. They intended to go there in order to learn about the essence of local creativity. A greater cultural spark is produced when innovation and Taiwanese style are combined.

A participant said during the exercise that she might make up for her weaknesses by taking part in this training camp and developing a tacit sense of collaboration. She also learnt about the city's historical setting and the cultural traits of many nations, which gave her a strong sense of purpose.
