Every year, more foreigners enroll in Taiwan's colleges and master's programs, and numerous government offices have established scholarship programs to encourage this development and lessen the financial burden of tuition. “Taiwan ICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program”, established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will open applications from now until March 15th, and will provide 200 scholarships for foreign students come to Taiwan to study for a degree.
33 academic, master's, and doctoral programs, including ones in science and engineering, agriculture, business management, tourism and catering, and many other professional sectors, will be available this year. Outstanding students from all over the world are encouraged to apply for Taiwan ICDF scholarships thanks to the publication by Taiwan ICDF of a manual for applying for scholarships and an electronic version of publicity posters for use by Chinese missions abroad.
Taiwan ICDF hopes to help friendly nations and developing nations develop high-level talent in the fields of policy planning, technology, and management through this program. Additionally, it hopes that by collaborating with foreign students to train Taiwanese students, it will help Taiwanese students develop a more global perspective, to achieve the combined goals of supporting Taiwan's higher education system's globalization and social and economic growth.
