New Taipei City Government enhances "New Immigrants Language Teachers" to handle multicultural education activities!

The New Taipei City Bureau of Education (新北市教育局) has completed the 2021 school year's start of classes and teacher training. This new school year has nearly 1,000 classes, which is the most in the country. In response to the epidemic, online pre-employment education and training for new residents’ language teaching support staff in 7 language teachers including Vietnamese, Indian, Thai, Cambodian, Burmese, Malaysia, and Philippines gathered in Google Meet online courses.  They took the lead in the country in response to the post-epidemic period with the digital teaching training, ready to welcome the school opening.

Director of Education Chang Ming-Wen (張明文) said that the support staff for language teaching for new immigrants cooperated with the Education Department’s policy of non-stop learning even with the suspension of classes, to conduct online teaching during the epidemic prevention period. They have completed pre-employment training and preparations before the beginning of the school year, to welcome the students of New Taipei City to prepare for the start of school with peace of mind. In addition, the focus of the training for new residents' language teaching support staff is to increase their skills including first-time teachers, to add advanced classes for the community, and to have comprehensive online teaching and teaching of video production skills.

The New Taipei City Government continues to enhance the digital teaching ability of the new immigrant language teachers, and the new resident language coaching group shares online teaching regulations and ethics, and online teaching class management, so that teaching staff can master teaching skills whether it will be physical or online.
