Smile Mountain Line is a renowned brand for mountain tourism in New Taipei City, offering a grand trekking route divided into five mountain sections: Dazhongshan, Yuanshan, Tian Shangshan, Ergeshan, and Wufen Mountain. These routes provide rich experiences of local mountain tourism and surrounding town cultures, with access to the trailheads within 30 minutes via public transportation, allowing residents to easily connect with nature.
The exhibition began with an in-depth exploration of the five major mountain sections, collaborating with residents and cultural promoters to create poetry related to the Smile Mountain Line. Nearly a hundred pieces of works, originating from personal stories, were displayed to explore the deep connections between individuals and the mountains and towns. The "Smile Mountain Line Grand Traverse Travel Route" covers a total walking distance of 108 kilometers. Visitors to the exhibition not only enjoyed interactive experiences but also received a limited edition postcard set created by international sketch artist Wang Jie for the Smile Mountain Line. Through these local organizations' introductions, the public gained a deeper understanding of the beauty of the Smile Mountain Line’s forests and the unique travel experiences of the surrounding towns.
Yang Tsung-ming, Director of New Taipei City Tourism and Travel Bureau, stated that Taiwan boasts abundant forested areas, and modern people, in their busy urban lives, long for brief escapes into the mountains to rejuvenate their minds and bodies. The "Smile Mountain Line," located on the southern edge of New Taipei City, is not only a "spiritual support" but also an important "home mountain" within the city, serving as a green base for quick recharging amidst busy lives.
