According to The Star, based on a new study, we should spend roughly two hours each week in nature for our physical and mental health.

Even though the advantages of spending time in green spaces – which are more commonly accessible in cities, spending time close to blue spaces may improve health more effectively.

Spending time in a natural setting with a body of water has many positive effects on our health and wellbeing. The sound of the waves, the salty air, the soft ripples of the water, etc. Blue therapy is the name given to this method of treatment. The advantages of being close to water become apparent as soon as you look at the surroundings.

In some communities, such as those where Vincent Van Gogh lived and worked in France, blue was a color of sadness. However, blue is now considered a calming and relaxing color in color therapy.

Our breath is charged with negative ions when we are near the ocean. Besides, our mood is said to be improved by these molecules' benefits on serotonin levels. Furthermore, the presence of microalgae frequently results in cleaner air.
