Using Tainan's 400 light-years as its inspiration, the 2024 Taiwan Lantern Festival will be the city's first major international event in its 400th year. "Dragon Shines in Tainan" (龍耀台南) is the Lantern Festival's theme, fitting with the Year of the Dragon. In the near future, the primary visual will also be made available, and the LOGO and standard characters will be designed by renowned paper-cut artist Yang Shi-yi (楊士毅).

This time, the "dragon" and "south" are combined with features of cornices and city walls to create a logo that conveys Tainan's 400-year history through four rings. Additionally, it has 26 motifs that are distinctive to Tainan, such as multicultural specialties, natural ecology, future technology, etc. The color scheme, which combines the two primary colors of red and gold, conveys the warmth, energy, and simplicity of Tainan culture.

The Tainan City Government announced that the Shalun Green Energy Technology Demonstration Site and the ICC TAINAN and its surrounding venues would be included in the Tainan High Speed Rail specialized area, which will serve as the primary lighting area. It will be on display from February 24 until March 10.

The original 1661 Taiwan Warship Museum, Lin Mo-Niang Memorial Park, the Anping Canal, and Anping Recreation Pier are all part of the secondary light area's waterfront light art exhibit. From February 4 to March 10, it will take place, bringing together a diverse range of the aesthetics of the lights include cultures.
