Six capitals accounted for 80% of the approximately 4,000 records in the statistics data on foreign acquisitions of property in Taiwan. Tamsui had the most transactions, followed by New Taipei City with 799, and New Taipei City overall with 699. Tamsui's extensive public transit system and leisurely lifestyle have turned into the primary factors that draw foreigners to buy property in Tamsui, according to the research of the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, Executive Yuan.

The majority of the 4,735 foreign professionals employed in New Taipei City work in the fields of finance, law, and healthcare, according to the Department of Budget, Accounting, and Statistics, New Taipei City Government. Both the wage and the state of the economy are rather steady. Long-term residents of Taiwan who reside in Taipei with their families would have a higher demand for real estate investments.
Additionally, according to statistics on the amount of real estate purchased by foreigners in Taiwan, New Taipei City comes out on top, followed by Taipei City and Taoyuan City. The fact that they choose affluent metropolises further demonstrates how frequently foreigners decide to invest in the capitals of Taiwan.
