In line with the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC)'s epidemic prevention measures, the National Immigration Agency (NIA) is promoting an "automatic 30-day extension" for immigrants in Taiwan holding Alien Resident Cards (ARC) that are close to expiration.
The NIA Chiayi County Service Station contacted respective groups for new immigrant services and labor agencies to provide timely information. This is to relay the news that immigrants with ARCs will have automatic 30-day extensions and they do not have to worry about the validity of their residence permits.

This is a reminder to new immigrants to follow epidemic prevention guidelines and to apply for an extension at on-site locations once the epidemic is over.
To relay more timely information to new immigrants, the Chiayi County Service Station is cooperating with Southeast Asian stores in Dalin Township and Minxiong Township in Chiayi County. Through this, they can reach the new immigrant population and remind them to follow epidemic prevention guidelines

Director of Chiayi County Service Station Lin Ping-huang stated that the NIA will automatically extend 30 days for soon expiring residence periods and there is no limit to the number of times to extend. This implementation period will last 30 days once the nationwide alert drops to level 2.
