The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) released the short film "To Equality" in response to the theme of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), which was held in New York in September. The short film features five true stories from Taiwan and abroad to highlight Taiwan's education, gender equality, medical welfare, eradication of hunger, relationship with other countries, etc., and its efforts to actively implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The MOFA said that the 78th United Nations General Assembly's theme is "Rebuild trust and global solidarity: accelerating action on the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals towards peace, prosperity, progress, and sustainability for all." To achieve recognition from the international community and enable Taiwan to take part in the UN system, MOFA intends to employ the short film to emphasize that Taiwan is in parallel with the rest of the world and an excellent partner in implementing the sustainable development of the UN.
