Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute (國立台灣工藝研究發展中心, NTCRI) hosted an online art exhibition. This was in hopes of easing the minds of people during the epidemic.
The NTCRI launched the Craft On Line (台灣工藝線上館) event series. Many aspects of "craft" were presented such as exhibitions, characters, communities, experiential learning, brands, and schools. Images displayed showed different kinds of resources used for craftsmanship and are suitable for all ages.

The NTCRI successfully launched several virtual events. Audiences were able to experience 360-degree virtual exhibition tours through their mobile phones and devices. The first event launched was the "2021 Taiwan x Japan Contemporary Lacquer Art Exchange Exhibition (2021年台灣x日本當代漆藝交流展)" with the theme called "The Warmth of Beauty (美的溫暖)". As the epidemic continues around the world, the beauty in the Taiwanese and Japanese Lacquer artists collections eases the minds of people through art and aesthetics.

There will also be an online VR (virtual reality) exhibition entitled "Wood for Life - Local Wood Craftsmanship(木以載生－國產木作工藝)". Those who are interested in issues on sustainable craft, or local Taiwanese wooden craftsmanship, are welcome to participate. Participants will be able to explore the concepts and skills of wooden craftsmanship. More information can be found at the NTCRI website.
