As the congregation and the public frequently visit religious venues during the Chinese New Year, eating & drinking are also prohibited at these locations.

Organizers must produce an infection prevention strategy for any activity that potentially draws more than 500 people, and they will only be allowed to carry out the plan with the local government's approval.

• The Ministry of the Interior urges the public to abide by the following measures

1. Implement contact tracing QR code scanning, temperature screening, environment cleaning & disinfecting, contingency planning, providing handwashing or alcohol-based hand sanitizers, health management of the personnel (Members of religious groups must receive at least 2 doses of the vaccine).

2. All attendees and members of the religious groups must wear a mask throughout the whole activities.

3. Large religious gatherings that are unable to maintain social distancing will be halted immediately, including pilgrimage, parade, and rushing to burn the first incense stick.

4. No eating is allowed at these religious venues. However, snacks can be prepared before the event by using sealed containers and taken away by visitors.

5. Objects used in religious places such as plates, trays, bowls, fortune stickers need to be disinfected before and after being touched by a person. The public is strongly encouraged to bring their own religious objects to these venues.
