With the gradual improvement of the epidemic situation in Taiwan, not only the service stations of the National Immigration Agency (NIA, 移民署) across Taiwan have resumed the monthly mobile vehicle service activities, but also the local governments have continued with new residents' activities. The Chung Cheng District Office of Taipei City (台北市中正區公所) will hold the "Basic Classes for Taiwanese Food and Snacks for New Immigrants’ Entrepreneurship" (新住民台灣小吃美食創業基礎班) every Wednesday and Friday from September 8th to October 8th. Registration is open until August 31st.
The popularity of Taiwanese snacks has spread all over the world. Among them, the street food that are full of Taiwanese life and cultural characteristics have attracted many foreign tourists and new immigrants. To improve the life skills of new immigrants, enhance their entrepreneurial ability and job-seeking competitiveness, this course will be taught by professional culinary instructors, and will teach students the proper use of seasonal ingredients in cooking, and introduce the food culture and local characteristics of northern, central, and southern Taiwan snacks.

For new immigrants based in Taipei City, or have completed marriage registration with Taipei residents, or have migrated through reunion with relatives and have settled down, they are welcome to register for free. Classes are held in the cooking classroom of Kainan High School (台北市開南高級中等學校) in Taipei City (No. 6, Section 1, Chi-nan Road, Chung Cheng District, Taipei City).
