In 2010, the 2-year-old "elephant-armed girl" Rui Junni (瑞君妮) was brought back to a Taiwanese hospital for further treatment by the volunteer clinic of the Formosa Budding Hope Association in Cambodia.

Rui Junni was given the opportunity to be reborn with the aid of the Formosa Budding Hope Association and the volunteer physicians at the free clinic. Additionally, it teaches Rui Junni gratitude and how to appreciate her gifts. Rui Junni is also the finest interpreter; she comforts patients and helps physicians and volunteers with translation whenever a free medical team travels to Cambodia for free medical operations.

25 Cambodian students received assistance from the Formosa Budding Hope Association in 2023 when they applied for the New Southbound Industry-Academic Cooperation International Special Class Program. With these students on the verge of traveling to Taiwan to study, practice Chinese, and exchange life experiences, Rui Junni felt even more obligated to assist them.

Under the new southbound policy, 16-year-old Rui Junni applied to travel to Taiwan this year to complete her education as a foreign student. The CEO (余慈薰) of Formosa Budding Hope Association also assisted in the relevant identity authentication, making Cambodian Rui Junni become Taiwan's "Yu Junni."

After assuming a new identity and beginning a new life in Taiwan, Yu Junni is appreciative of the assistance Taiwanese people have given her since she was a little child. In order to continue helping more people and spreading this love without boundaries, she is also committed to studying social work when she grows up and actively engages in a variety of volunteer activities.
