Zhuzihu Hydrangea season kick off on May 18 (Source Taipei Travel)
Summer season in Taiwan is here! Many people usually think that during this time, we have to travel to the beach and we only can see flowers in the winter and spring, but in Taiwan you can see various flowers in the early summer. One of them is hydrangea.
The beautiful hydrangea season of Zhuzihu (竹子湖) is started on May 18. This year's hydrangea blooming period is from mid-May to mid-June and flower viewing period until the beginning of July. Recently, the light-colored hydrangeas are in full bloom, the bright purple and blue-violet hydrangeas are also blooming. Welcome everyone to go up the mountain to enjoy the flowers, feel the summer colorful atmosphere in advance.
The Department of Economic Development, Taipei City Government said that Hydrangea is round shape and a lot of colors flower that love by everyone. At present, there are 7 privately-charged farms setting up landscape flowers for people to take pictures, including Huagu Calla Lily Farm (花谷海芋園), Caifu Calla Lily Farm (財福海芋田), Mingyangpu Leisure Farm (名陽匍休閒農莊), Da Shang Farm (大賞園), Flower and Tree Gardening (花與樹園藝), Large Terrace Ecological Farm (大梯田生態農園) and Caojia Flower Farm (曹家花田香). Welcome everyone to take pictures and share the beautiful scenery and hydrangea in Zhuzihu.
The Department of Economic Development also said that in addition to the beautiful hydrangea in the farm, they plan two half-day trips of the "Zhuzihu Hydrangea Ecological Farm Experience" (a group of 10 people and NT$500 per person). According to the North City Government Bureau, the buses that travel to Zhuzihu in Yangmingshan currently have S8, S9, 128, 129 and 131 (only flower season). People are welcome to take public transportation to enjoy the flowers.
