A slew of fraud incidents and strategies have surfaced in recent years. The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) has also stepped forward to warn the public not to fall for scams using the name of Sandra Oudkirk, Director of the AIT, which dishonest online users have been doing recently.

In particular, the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) published a post on its Facebook page pointing out in both Chinese and English that dishonest online users have been posing as the AIT and Sandra Oudkirk, the director of the AIT, engaging in various fraudulent activities under the name. The post also urges people to use caution when using the Internet to avoid falling victim to scammers.
