The four-day National Day holiday comes just after the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. All around Taiwan, many events have begun, such as the "National Day Fireworks" in Taichung, the "Taiwan Design Expo" and "North Coast International Kite Festival" in New Taipei City and light and shadow art show, "Dancing of Light and Shadows” in Chiayi City and Kaohsiung's "Kaohsiung Hot-Air Balloon Festival."
National Day Fireworks
On October 10, Taichung Central Park will host the launch of this year's National Day fireworks. Along with the 36-minute fireworks display, there are other events including drone shows, projection mapping, and water dance performances. Taiwan Design Expo
New Taipei City Art Museum and the Yingge Ceramics Museum served as the main exhibition hall for this year's Taiwan Design Expo, which then expanded to other satellite exhibition areas to allow all administrative districts in New Taipei City to participate jointly. "Dancing of Light and Shadows” of light and shadow art show
Daniel Wong, an emerging Taiwanese designer, created the "Dear Moon" theme for this year's light and shadow art display. The whole exhibition space is painted a bright shade of pink, and sophisticated light and shadow settings are used to produce eye-catching visual effects on the trees and reflections. Additionally, there will be laser shows, wind band performance light shows, and drone fireworks displays this year. More on the event’s official website.

Kaohsiung Hot-Air Balloon Festival
There are two places where the Kaohsiung Hot-Air Balloon Festival is held: Moon World and Love River. While the view of Love River is similar to strolling along the Seine River in France, that of Moon World is similar to being in Cappadocia, Turkey. North Coast International Kite Festival
The event is held at Shimen District's Baishawan Beach and Kite Park. There are activities like kite DIY and kite creative displays in addition to modeling kites and stunt kites to enjoy. You may also drop by to sample the North Coast's seafood specialties. More on the event’s Facebook page.

Deyuanpi Dutch Village Windmill Festival
This year, Deyuanpi Holland Village, a well-known tourist destination in Liuying, Tainan, is organizing a windmill parade, a competition for best windmill decorations, a DIY experience, stunt acts, and market activities. Please visit the event's official website for more information on the events.
