Facing the post-epidemic era and the recovery of international tourism, the Tainan City Government Bureau of Tourism (台南市政府觀光旅遊局) has trained new immigrants to be "Southeast Asian Languages" (東南亞語系) tour guides, and actively handled "Rare Language Tour Guide Training" (稀少語別旅遊導覽人員培訓) to give full play to the multicultural and multilingual advantages of the new immigrants. Through the training courses, trainees acquire the skills of tour guides and become the seed talents of Tainan's deep-rooted rare-language tourist guides and provide foreign tourists with better explanation and communication services.

Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-Che (黃偉哲) said that Tainan’s unique historical and cultural features have attracted countless international visitors and have always been a popular tourist attraction. Whether it is traditional snacks, historical sites, night markets, business districts, mountains, rivers, and hot springs, they are all popular among foreign tourists. In addition to improving cross-cultural recognition, the training of tourist guides in rare languages echoes the government's promotion of the new southbound policy in the tourism industry.

In addition, overseas Chinese students, new immigrants and their children from Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and other countries were gathered for the training activities. With the training of rare-language tourist guides, the advantages of multicultural and multilingual talents will be used to spread "Tainan culture" to other countries and become a bridge between Tainan and the world. The list of trainees will be provided to tourists from Southeast Asia and other countries and help match the trainees with actual on-site guides and explanations. Relevant information will be used in cooperation with the Taiwan Inbound Tourism Association (入境協會) to provide more travel services.
