To solve the problem of the high rate of traffic-related accidents among university and college students, the Ministry of Transportation and Communication R.O.C. promotes the “Buses for university & college campus” plan.

Besides, Changhua Motor Vehicles Office invited three students of MingDao University, who are from Swatini, Mozambique, and Nigeria, to be part of the bilingual promotional videos that share the benefits of taking buses.

Huang Pei Qi (黃珮綺), who is serving in the Changhua Motor Vehicles Office, stated that foreign students showed their approval regarding the quality of public transportation in Taiwan. Residents nearby the campus are also encouraged to take the public transport more and increase ridership, therefore, winning more discounts offered by the transport industry.

Wang Ya Zhi (王亞志), a business management student from Swatini, said that teachers would bring students to take a bus to Yuanlin and Taichung, as well as how to transfer to the train and high-speed rail during freshmen training. It was helpful to foreign students.

When foreign students first arrived in Taiwan, they had no means of transportation, so being able to enter the campus by bus is a good service for them. Besides students, more residents of Beidou and Xizhou also started taking buses. The public is encouraged to take buses to reduce the possibility of traffic accidents, as well as carbon emissions.
