Deputy Mayor Lin Yi-Hua highlighted that this year’s New Year’s Eve celebration boasts not only a stellar lineup but also a series of December weekend activities with four major themes leading up to the event. The "Diverse Theme Weekends," held at Taipei City Hall's Southeast Plaza, will include:

  • "Retro Nostalgia Week" (December 7-8),
  • "Western Classics Week" (December 14-15),
  • "Anime Support Week" (December 21-22),
  • "Lounge Relaxation Week" (December 28-29).

Each weekend will feature a food market and stage performances to immerse the public in the festive atmosphere ahead of the New Year.

The Department of Information and Tourism further explained the theme weeks:

  • "Retro Nostalgia Week" will focus on classic memories,
  • "Western Classics Week" will feature international performers,
  • "Anime Support Week" targets younger audiences with anime-themed creative shows,
  • "Lounge Relaxation Week" will offer a cozy atmosphere for citizens to enjoy a laid-back end-of-year experience.

The lineup includes over 10 performers, with highlights such as exclusive collaborations between Cosmospeople, Apink, Energy, TRASH, and Papun Band. This combination of rock and punk music promises to deliver an exhilarating audio-visual feast. Additionally, this year’s hosts are equally exciting.
