The Philippines is geographically close to Taiwan, has affordable transportation and fresh agricultural goods, according to the chairman of the board of directors of Pingtung County YA GOU Agricultural goods Cooperative (屏東縣雅緱農產品運銷合作社). Everyone can see Taiwan's agricultural technology, and Pingtung is the global leader in wax apple growing technology. Plus, it is unnecessary to worry there will be a lot of agricultural product overlap between the two nations. The Philippines is a significant market for Taiwan because of the large number of Filipino migrant workers that travel to work there.

According to the general manager (王維君) of a firm selling frozen foods and pork products at the exhibition, Taiwan offers excellent pork products and was well-liked by locals when it participated exhibitions in the Philippines. She intends to utilize this event to promote Filipinos about Taiwanese cuisine and get an understanding of the regional market and consumer preferences.
