As the summer vacation has come, the Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA) has provided unlimited commuter train access nationwide and encourages students to use the 10-day pass to travel around Taiwan. From July 15 to September 15, the TR-Summer Pass has been available for purchasing.
The Administration has issued the pass, priced at NT$900 (US$30), that allows users to take unlimited rides within 10 days of purchase to travel around Taiwan, according to the government-owned railway operator, the TRA stated.
The TRA stated individuals must present their student identity card or other documentation for the purchase of the pass over the counter at TRA stations. The pass, which is activated on the day of purchase, does not permit access to Puyuma Express, Taroko Express, cruise train service, and charter train services, it added.
For detailed information on the pass and its price, please see the Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA)'s website.
