The "Taiwan-EU Gender Equality Forum" that was jointly organized by the European Economic and Trade Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Executive Yuan's Gender Equality Division has come to an end. 22 speakers from 17 nations, including the United States, the European Union, and the Asia-Pacific region, were invited to the two-day event, together with more than 800 government officials, professionals, researchers, and non-governmental organizations. They watched and learnt from each other's gender equality policies, development strategy, and outcomes through online and in-person involvement.

Premier Chen Chien-jen (陳建仁) of the Executive Yuan reiterates the government's view that sexual harassment and assault are not acceptable. The Act of Gender Equality in Employment, the Sexual Harassment Prevention Act, and the Gender Equity Education Act are the three laws on sexual equality, and the executive branch will put out a proposed revision to each of them. Premier Chen expressed his expectation that the bill will be passed by the end of July.
According to Filip Grzegorzewski (高哲夫), head of the European Economic and Trade Office, Taiwan and the EU share similar principles and place equal emphasis on democracy, the rule of law, and human rights. Taiwan is the first nation in Asia to allow same-sex unions, according to Grzegorzewski. Taiwan becomes a role model for democracy and the protection of human rights thanks to the laws and regulations that encourage regional change.

Since 2019, Taiwan and the European Union have partnered to promote the "Gender Equality Cooperation & Training Framework (GECTF)," planning a number of events centered around the protection of human rights, LGBTI rights, and gender equality. This forum serves as both the framework plan's last activity and a recap of all the activities that have been supported over the previous four years.
