The main objective of the amendment is to provide subsidies for the insured’s loss of income during their unpaid parental leaves. In the future, regardless of the industry that the parents are working in, couples can simultaneously apply for subsidies during unpaid parental leave.
The subsidies are calculated at 60% of the average monthly insured salary of the insured person in the first 6 months from the month of taking unpaid parental leave.
During the period of the insured’s unpaid parental leave, the subsidies will be paid monthly, and each child will be paid a maximum of 6 months. In the case of raising two or more children at the same time, the allowance is limited to one person.
