The manager of the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Oleksandr Hornostai, expressed his delight at traveling to Taiwan and expressed the hope that locals would like their performance. The orchestra's activities were put on hold due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but rehearsals and concerts started up again in April of this year. It was moving to see the orchestra play on for the folks in the shelter after the alarm went off, seeking to bring them back to peace and safety.
