On the eve of Mother's Day, Wu Yi-en (吳宜恩), a second-generation immigrant supported by the Yunlin Family Support Center, successfully completed the interview and was chosen for the power-building program run by the Zonta Club of Yunlin. During the summer break, she will do a three-week study tour to Toronto, Canada. This is the nicest Mother's Day present, according to Wu Yi-en's mother, who is proud of her daughter.

According to the Zonta Club of Yunlin's president (楊薇蓁), in order to assist underprivileged women and children in Yunlin, the club created the "Elite Girls Training Program" (菁英女孩培訓計畫) since 2021, and fully funded international study costs to encourage students from low-income families with strong academic aptitude.
Wu Yi-en was raised by a single mom. Liang Yue-cao, her mother, is a new immigrant from Vietnam. She has put in a lot of effort for her three children over a long period of time. Wu Yi-en is also an extremely motivated student who even gained the chance to study overseas. Wu was reportedly quite anxious while she was getting ready for the interview, according to her mother. She was thrilled to have made it through the selection, but she also worked on honing her English speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities. Wu Yi-en also expressed her gratitude for her mother's ongoing support and encouragement, and she offered her a carnation as a token of her appreciation.
