Karimov runs the Kings and Generals YouTube channel, which has 600 million views and 3.29 million subscribers. His use of animation to illustrate history and important events is commendable. According to Karimov, he was aware in the past of Taiwan's significant role in both Asia and the wider globe. For instance, the preservation of homosexual marriage is a symbol of the importance placed on equal human rights; it is home to cutting-edge semiconductor research and development facilities that are exported across the world; it is situated in the heart of East Asia and is the linguistic ancestor of Austronesian languages. Karimov traveled to Matsu during this trip in order to research the military history, infrastructure, and structures of the area before spending time at Taiwan's Presidential Office Building.

According to the General Association of Chinese Culture (GACC), Karimov enjoyed the enormous monument of Mazu that is located in the city when he visited Matsu. In addition to explaining Taiwan's history, Karimov intends to edit what he has captured during his visit into a number of videos that will also address the present Taiwan Strait conflict and global tensions. He thinks that historians have a duty to give context, details, and explanations of events; also, he thinks that animating historical topics may make them less dry.
