Visa free entry allows foreigners to enter the Philippines, more visitors expected in the future

As the pandemic situation has stabilized globally, about 8,000 fully vaccinated visitors from 157 countries entered the Philippines on the first day of reopening the border. According to the 4wayvoice, 30% of the travelers are foreign tourists.

As of February 14, the total number of cases in the Philippines reached 3,639,942, with an average of more than 2,500 new cases a day in the past three days. Compared with the surge in the number of confirmed cases in January, the epidemic situation is much better.

Passengers with visa-free agreements and certificates that shows status of being fully vaccinated and possess a negative PCR report within 48 hours before boarding are exempt from quarantine when entering the Philippines.

The Spokesperson of Bureau of Immigration - Dana Krizia (Mengote) Sandoval stated that if the vaccination certificate is falsified, the passenger will be deported.

According to the tourism secretary, most tourists that entered the Philippines in the previous days were Americans, Canadians, Australians, and British people.
