As the highly contagious variant – Omicron is still spreading within the community, the Taoyuan city government and Kaohsiung city government announced that the school term dates for public and private kindergartens have been postponed to February 14.

For schools below tertiary level (inclusive) in other counties and cities, the Ministry of Education (MOE) stated that the school term dates will still start from February 11 for now. Besides, rolling wave planning is adopted for the campus in response to the pandemic situation.

MOE also mentioned that it respects the decision made by the Taoyuan city government and Kaohsiung city government as it is to protect the health of the public.

MOE will announce the latest measures according to the pandemic situation as well as Central Epidemic Command Center’s decisions. Moreover, collaboration with local governments will be continued to ensure a clean and safe learning environment for teachers and students.
